Theresa Thanx! making a shopping list is on of the simple things you can do to save money! Libary’s are great places to go aswell to save money, recently I wanted to rent a dvd for about five pounds at blockbuster, we werent registered so we couldnt. But then we went to the libray and rented 2 for a pound!
Canceling your cable tv! Ooh my! Sorry I dont know what that was all about! But that will save alot of money. Although people who like to watch some tele evrynow and again dont have to cancel it all together, they could just simply get freeview!
Mmmm, homemade soup, yummm!

Luc Recharable batteries can be a little bit fiddely and dont alwayz work! Thanx for your link, im sure it will come in handy for someone.

Hi Lizzie,

Have been struggling with the rechargeable battery stuff for years. Spontaneous discharge and lesser voltage of NiMH is really inconventient, but Alkaline is expensive. Now I think to have found the best of both worlds: recharge your Alkaline batteries!! Maybe there are several chargers on the market, I’ve found this one.

Hi Lizzie,
This is a fantastic post and one that is on everyone’s mind.

My favorites are #8, 9, and especially 10.
I make a list when I go shopping and that really helps cut out all the things that might sneak into the shopping cart.

The library is one of my most favorite places to visit and I go once a week when I’m in town (we live in the country). I check out movies instead of renting them. Which takes me to #10. We’re going to cancel our cable contract in June when it’s up. No more TV. There are so many other ways to entertain ourselves. Maybe I’ll get more work done, too!

I do a lot of home canning. I like home made soup and put up about 10-12 cases every year.
